The Textile Archive is closed to the public during the winter months but a programme of events has been planned as follows:
17th November 2010 – ‘Winter Silks Tour’ 10.30am to 1pm.
A look at some of the sumptuous silks woven by Warner & Sons during your behind the scenes tour of the Archive. £5.50 includes tea and coffee
29th – 30th January 2011 – Textile Fair – 11am to 4pm
Vintage Textiles – Beads – Patchwork – Books – Fabric by the Metre – Trimmings – Arts & Crafts – Gifts - Admission £2. Refreshments available.
26th February 2011 – ‘Spring Textile Tour’ 10.30am to 1pm.
Explore the rich history of floral design in the hand woven and hand printed fabrics by Warner & Sons, from Owen Jones through to Eddie Squires. Includes tour of the Archive. £5.50 includes tea and coffee
2nd March 2011 – ‘Starting out in Textiles’ – 10.30am – 3.30pm
Textile Designs of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.
A look at Warner & Sons through these dynamic decades of design. Talk and Tour. See the original fabrics and wallpapers from our amazing Archive.
£10 - to include tea and coffee. Please bring your own lunch.
