What Future Fashion Fabrication (11th Nov 7.30):Author Bradley Quinn investigates technology's meetings with fashion including insights from Jane Harris and Carole Collet of the Art's Textiles Futures Research Group

A CELEBRATION OF THE DECORATIVE ARTS


Amy Beckwith, a graduate from Colchester School of Art Design and Media is showcasing some of her work in an exhibition held at Essex University. The collection takes inspiration from 18th century decorative arts, observing natural world paintings of that period.

Written and directed by Academy Award winner Jane Campion, Bright Star is a riveting drama based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne, which was cut short by Keats’ untimely death at age 25. Ben Whishaw (The International, I’m Not There) and Abbie Cornish (Stop-Loss, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) star as Keats and Brawne, respectively. The film is co-produced by Jan Chapman and Caroline Hewitt.

LANVIN FOR H&M



The long awaited collection by Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's artistic director, for the high street giants goes on sale on November 23 in selected H&M stores nationwide, and this is definitely one collaboration worth getting out of bed early for.

Expect queues around the block for Elbaz's signature cocktail dresses, appliqué T-shirts, ladylike shoes and glamorous accessories.
