Colchester fashion and textile students will be presenting on the catwalk at London’s Alternative fashion week on Wednesday April 21st.
The Rhinestones and Gall stones collection is a luxurious men’s daywear collection which will feature separates, coats/jackets and accessories mixing formal and casual wear.
The sordid unlovliness of Hunterian museum and the seductive decadence of the Victoria and Alberts jewellery rooms provide the inspiration for the collection. This contrast is reflected in the combination of fabrics; Silks, wools and cashmere are juxtaposed with recycling tattered party dresses and vintage army gear to create a masculine fashion statement for autumn / winter 2011
